Ogun State Youth Cooperative Calls for Peaceful Coexistence

In a fervent appeal to youths within the Ogun State Cooperative Movement, Mr. Badejo Adeyemi, President of Ogun State Cooperative Federation Youth Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, has urged young cooperators to eschew violent protests and foster peace for a brighter future.

In a press release issued on Tuesday from Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, Mr. Adeyemi emphasized the devastating consequences of protests, advocating for a careful and peaceful approach. “Nothing is more beneficial than peaceful coexistence,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of maintaining harmony.

Amid the widespread protests by youths across Nigeria, Mr. Adeyemi earnestly appealed to young cooperators in Ogun State and across the nation to take a proactive role in promoting peace within their local communities, cities, and states. “We urge our youths to maintain peace and abstain from any form of violence,” he said.

The Ogun State Cooperative Federation is working closely with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the State Ministry of Community Development and Cooperative, and the Department of Cooperative Services. These collaborations aim to address the significant impacts that protests have on both government and businesses. As stakeholders in the economic and social stability of the nation, it is crucial to recognize that no one benefits during times of riots, demonstrations, and protests.

“All young cooperators are encouraged to issue similar calls for peace within their networks,” Mr. Adeyemi stated.

By fostering a peaceful environment, Ogun State Cookeville Federation Limited (OGSCOFED) believes that the continued growth and stability of the economy and society can be ensured. “Let us work together to embrace peace and safeguard our collective future responsibility,” he concluded.

OGSCOFED Youth Cooperative extends its gratitude for the support and cooperation of all its members in this crucial endeavor.
